Missouri Dinosaur Site:
One of Missouri’s geologic anomalies is
the Chronister Mesozoic vertebrate fossil Site. Anomalous because
most of the state is underlain by Paleozoic or Precambrian rocks rather
than Mesozoic. The Chronister (Bollinger County) site is unique in that
it represents the only known occurrence of dinosaur remains in Missouri.
