Devonian Fossils of West Virginia
The following fossils are from the Fore Knobs Formation,
Upper Devonian, Randolph County, West Virginia. The jellyfish
has been identified as Discophylum sp. This however was based
on a Jurassic jellyfish. Since it is not a concrete identification, we
would welcome comments and additional info. The cephalopod
has not yet been identified either. The Bifungite trace fossil is
included, just because it is an interesting fossil.
