Model of western Green River Basin and the Flaming Gorge
Dam
impoundment. Note green on left is Uinta Mountains. This whole area was
studied by Cope and Marsh, and many many Eocene mammal fossils were
discovered in the Washakie Basin there. Vertebrates are disarticulated
(and protected) through out the area. Dam has a height of over 400
feet, and over 50 pound lake and brown trout.
