Outcrop of the Lake Neosho Shale Member of the Altamont Formation.
The contact with the underlying conglomerate and limestone unit of
The Bandera Formation is just below the hammer head. The Worland
Limestone Member is at the top of the photograph. Contacts and
informal subunits within the Lake Neosho are labeled in the
accompanying photograph.
