Phosphatic shale and bioclastic shale subunits, Lake Neosho Shale
Upper part of the Lake Neosho Shale, showing a gradational
contact between the blocky claystone and phosphatic shale and an
erosional contact between the phosphatic shale and bioclastic shale.
At the top of the photograph is the transition zone between the Lake
Neosho Shale and Worland Limestone. It is out of focus because the
underside of the Worland is an overhang approaching the camera.
