Claystone boulders in conglomerate and limestone unit

The heavy dashed line marks the contact between the conglomerate
and limestone unit and the calcareous shale subunit at the base of the
Lake Neosho Shale. Three large claystone clasts in the conglomerate
and limestone unit are outlined; others are visible. This texture of large
clasts "floating" in an abundant clay matrix may be the product of some
form of mass movement such as debris flow. However, the limestone--an
apparent clast--indicated by the arrow has a smooth surface, suggesting
it was subjected to wave action.
