Discussion:

Large specimen of the type species of Gigantoproductus.

Viewer Comments:

This is an internal mold of the ventral valve, showing the
strong folding that includes the entire shell and showing pits
of the numerous small brachial cones on the interior of the valve.
The large wing-like ears are characteristic of this species.
