Gigantoproductus elongatus Sarytcheva

Discussion:

Highly inflated complete specimen.

Viewer Comments:

This specimen has a complete ventral valve that shows scattered spine bases on
the outer surface. A thin outermost shell layer has peeled off from the inner shell
layers in many areas, revealing shallow pits and dimples corresponding to locations
of endospines or pseudopunctae in the shell.
