Collected at the contact between the limestone and soft shale
The Platyceras gastropods lived in a symbiotic association with crinoids.
Platyceras attached and scavenged directly off the crinoid calyx, perhaps
feeding off the ejected material from the anal tube.I have collected a number of very nice (mostly weathered out of matix)
specimens at this locality and will post those pictures in the near future.Barry Sutton
